Meet Joanna Crowell
MS, LMHC, NCC, AADC
I am passionate about helping people create positive, lasting change in their lives. I view healing as a process of moving forward while drawing on the wisdom of our past. My goal is to encourage and inspire your growth, supporting you as you reassemble your life in ways that cultivate deeper meaning, purpose, and connection.
I specialize in helping individuals heal from trauma, substance use, and life’s most difficult experiences. As a trauma specialist and certified EMDR therapist, I bring an evidence-based and integrative approach to my work. I am also a certified HeartMath practitioner and incorporate holistic health principles to support mind-body healing and emotional resilience.
Outside the therapy room, I find renewal through nature and connection. You’ll often find me hiking in the woods, exploring national parks, spending time with family and friends, or practicing meditation. I value laughter, healthy living, and nurturing my own well-being, foundations I bring into my approach with clients.
Susan Kolbenheyer

Supporting others through life’s challenges is a deeply meaningful part of my work. I see healing as a personal and powerful journey, one that invites us to move forward while learning from and integrating the wisdom of our past. My goal is to walk alongside you as you navigate life in a way that honors your values, strengths, and sense of purpose.
I strive to offer a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel truly seen, heard, and accepted. My approach is person-centered, strengths-based, and grounded in the belief that every individual holds the innate capacity for growth and healing.
I specialize in working with young adults, college students, and those experiencing life transitions. Drawing from CBT, DBT, and other evidence-based modalities, I tailor our work together to meet your unique needs through a holistic lens that supports the whole person, mind, body, and spirit.
Outside of my work, I find balance and joy in nature and community. You can often find me soaking in the calm of the beach, enjoying the energy of the city, reading, making music, or spending time with loved ones. I value laughter, creativity, and a mindful, balanced approach to life.
